About the Role
Based in Iagifu Ridge on a 4:4 roster this position is responsible for the supervision of all Santos warehouse operations and activities in PNG, ensuring equipment and inventory is available to all PNGBU departments in line with operational requirements and Santos values.
Key accountabilities include:
- Oversee all warehousing tasks and inventory transactions
- Lead PNG warehouse teams to ensure cost, productivity, accuracy, reputational and timeliness objectives are met
- Lead and supervise PNG warehouse inventory management and preservation functions
- Work collaboratively with all Company supervisors and managers to ensure alignment between warehouses, operational assets, interfacing work streams and resource pools.
- Oversee workforce planning for permanent Santos personnel and 3rd party labour to meet the Company’s cost-reduction demands.
- Facilitate the continuous improvement of Company warehouse systems and processes to achieve cost and performance targets.
- Develop and maintain direct warehouse and inventory reports to optimise the Company’s PNG warehouse capability.
- Establish and utilise specific supply chain-based performance metrics to monitor and maximise warehouse and inventory efficiencies to achieve cost savings and performance targets.
- Closely manage customer interface balancing operational requirements against cost-to-serve targets.
- Actively drive warehouse initiatives and incentives including inventory issuance and assurance, quality control and process accuracy.
About You
The ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical, processing, planning and organisational skills and be a clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal, as well as:
- Extensive warehouse leadership experience required with experience in warehouse, supply or distribution programs
- Strong cultural awareness mindset specific to PNG
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a remote and challenging environment requiring accurate and time-sensitive work outcomes
- Technical competencies include supply chain systems & ERP transactions, warehouse controls & management, purchasing to pay processes, inventory management and cataloguing & interpreting
- Ideally you will have cert IV Transport and Distribution, CoR Level 2, Dangerous Goods Handling, Forklift licence and/or relevant study in warehousing, supply chain or materials management.
