JOB INTRODUCTION

The qualified Training Instructors provide training for the potential candidates ensuring they are fully equipped in skill and knowledge to effectively perform in their roles. The instructors have an important role to ensure that the candidate is well trained as a Guard and equipped with adequate knowledge of the company business ethics, values and policies on Health and Safety.

We have vacancies for Trainers in the following specialist training areas;

• Trainer with the specialist skill and Certification in the delivery of Aviation Security Officer & Screener Training
• Trainer with the specialist skill and Certification in the delivery of Safe Driver Training.

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting functionally to the Training Manager in Port Moresby, the incumbent is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of the Pre-employment Security Officer Training and other courses to support the operations in the supply of manpower needed to meet the service delivery requirements in accordance with client Contracts. The incumbent will be required to train all new recruits and up-skill current security personnel in compliance to company and statutory requirements.

The interested candidate must possess knowledge and understanding of training / learning methodologies. He/she must be a well presented individual with good work ethics. A competent and committed person who is self motivated and be abreast with developments in the Training field. He or she must be a team player who can work with others.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Deliver the full program for the Pre Employment Security Officer Training and other Courses offered by the company Training Department
• As and when required participate in the Vetting and Screening process of interested and potential candidates
• Conduct, assess and report on the entry Tests and other Training Tests and Exams
• Assist in the onboarding, inductions and uniform issuance for all new Hires Guards
• Coordinate with the Training Manager on Training Material and content review and validation
• Compile Training reports on a weekly basis or as when on completion of a Training Program
• Ensure to maintain an updated record and inventory of Training facility, equipment, tools and material.
• Roll out other specific training as required or mandated.

REQUIREMENTS

Experience and Qualification and Skills;

• Education qualification in Teaching/Training
• Must have a Train the Trainer Certification Cert III or Cert IV
• NTC Certification
• Specialist Training Certification in Aviation Security Officer & Screener
• Specialist Training and Certification in Safe Driver Training
• Must has a valid Driver’s License
• At least 5 years of experience in teaching or training
• Able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Be fluent in both written and spoken English with good presentational skills
• Experience in managing training record and compiling reports for management
• Computer literate in word processing, basic excel spreadsheets and powerpoint presentations
• Past experience in a Commercial or Security Industry environment would be an advantage
• Basic Certificate in First Aid and/or OH&S Level 3 would be an advantage
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to think and plan clearly.
