TRAINEE BRANCH MANAGER

REPORTS TO: THE RECYCLING OPERATIONS MANAGER / HEAD OFFICE TEAM

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

• On training to learn the ins and outs of managing a retailing branch.
• To grasp the basic knowledge on product identification.
• To be able to adapt and operate daily, buying products.
• Customer service training for running a Branch.
• Trained to be able to manage a staff of up to four people at the branch level.
• Trained to understand and do daily reports to be submitted to the Head Office daily.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• The general knowledge of calculating stock and doing stock takes and balancing.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills and the ability to organize and prioritize work.
• A good communicator with exceptional management skills to work professionally in a Team environment.
• Be able to handle emotional, confrontational people in a calm professional manner. Never lose composure.
• Have a zero tolerance to alcohol.

QUALIFICATION

• Diploma in Management or Accounting is required.
• 2-3 years of experience in this field or similar is required.
• Honesty and loyalty are a must.

DAYS/HOURS

• Monday – Friday from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
• Saturdays 7:30 am – 12:00 midday
• Public Holidays are usually a working day, depending on the management’s decision

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job training. This employee will be in training to determine whether the job is suitable. The successful candidate shall be working in a yard setting with frequent attention to stock/cash handling and balancing.
