About the role

This role is responsible to manage the weekly operations and maintenance of heavy equipment mobile fleets at 800 underground workshops for mobile plant availability for site. You will liaise with Mobile Maintenance superintendent with respect to operation and availability of mobile fleet.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• To ensure company Procedure and Policies are adhered to.
• Ensure that all parts/spares are subjected to hand over notes such that your Foreman are aware of all parts/spares.
• To oversee the day-to-day activities and consequently is directly responsible for the practical application of Safety management system in the workplace.
• To ensure all service and maintenance deadlines are met on the Company’s Mining Fleet and ensure all parts/spares for these services are on site prior to commencement.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have a minimum qualification of Grade 10 or above with NATTB certified tradesman certificate in Heavy Equipment Fitting or Diesel Mechanic. You must have extensive experience as supervisor in an underground mining, heavy industry or similar. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Extensive knowledge of Environmental Management System relevant to K92
• Leadership Qualities
• Supervisory Skills
• Able to communicate in both written and verbal manner and at all levels.
• Minimum of 5 years' work experience on Earth Moving Machinery or similar.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
