About the role

This role is responsible for managing the weekly operations and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment fleets at the 800 underground workshop for mobile plant availability for site and provide liaison to mobile maintenance superintendent with respect to the operations and availability of mobile fleets.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• To ensure all service and maintenance deadlines are met on the Company’s Mining Fleet and ensure all parts/spares for these services are on site prior to commencement.
• Ensure that all parts/spares are subjected to hand over notes such that your Foreman are aware of all parts/spares.
• To oversee the day-to-day activities and consequently is directly responsible for the practical application of Safety management system in the workplace.
• To ensure company Procedure and Policies are adhered to.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have Grade 10 or grade 12 certificate and a NATTB certified Tradesman certificate in Auto-Electrical. It is also desirable to have a supervisory certificate and must have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a supervisor in underground mining environment. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Exemplary Auto electrical, diagnostic and repair skills.
• Able to communicate in both written and verbal manner and at all levels.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, parts books, and service manuals (including specifications) for Company Equipment.
• Minimum of 5 years' work experience on Earth Moving Machinery or similar.
