About the role

This role is responsible for providing technical support in the metallurgical plant for efficient, safe, and continuous operation of process plant, including mill and the Laboratory to achieve production targets.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Monitor, audit and optimize plant metallurgical performance.
• Provide technical support, training and guidance to technical staff and operation crews.
• Developing innovative solutions to both medium and long-term projects integral to the process plant.
• Work in collaboration with Processing Manager or designate to ensure that the entire ore processing operation meets environmental regulations/standards.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must a degree in metallurgy, mineral processing, or chemical engineering, with minimum of 10-years’ experience working in a mineral processing plant. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Sulphide Mineral Floatation experience, crushing and grinding experience.
• Sound knowledge of Mining industry Safety, Environmental and Operational Practices in an underground mine.

• Sound knowledge of Mill Control systems

• Ability to train process plant personnel in all aspects of their trade – particularly in diagnosis and fault finding, quality control, thoroughness and record keeping.
