Role Purpose:
The Senior Information Security Engineer supports the Information Security Manager to ensure the security and continual improvement of our clients networks and systems. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining information security systems.

Key Reponsibilites:

• Update and report on security programs
• Design and optimise protection solutions
• Monitor assets and respond to threats
• Assess and enhance security tools
• Develop and maintain security policies
• Design and enforce incident response plans
• Lead security training programs
• Conduct risk assessments and update the risk register
• Implement the security roadmap and monitor trends

Key Requirements:

• General knowledge of cyber security
• General Knowledge of Information technology
• Technical acumen including or equivalent to: OSI, IT infrastructure, cloud, IoT architectures, application development languages, tools and frameworks, database technologies, web technologies, next gen mobile, network architecture, enterprise architecture, and directory services.
• Security technology acumen and experience including but not limited to firewall, intrusion detection, cyber-attack tools and defences, encryption, certificate authority, web filtering, anti-malware, SIEM, identity and access management, multi factor authentication.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of IT experience, and preference for 1+ years of information security/cyber security experience.
• Professional certifications, such as a CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) or other relevant certifications.
