Senior Credit Analyst. These positions have become available due to internal promotions — an exciting sign of growth and opportunity within the team.
Based within the
Corporate Banking Strategic Business Unit, you’ll work alongside Senior Relationship Managers to manage and grow a portfolio of business clients. This is a dynamic opportunity to deliver tailored lending solutions, build lasting client relationships, and support the bank’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities - Conduct in-depth financial analysis and assess complex lending applications, annual reviews, and temporary overdrafts.
- Prepare and submit all relevant documentation, including ALOCs and credit submissions via Nautilus, ensuring data integrity and compliance with internal policy.
- Load and analyse financials using Moody’s Financial Analysis Program to assist the Credit Department’s decision-making process.
- Collaborate closely with Lending Support and Legal teams to streamline the settlement process for new or increased facilities.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including property valuers, accountants, lawyers, government departments, and quantity surveyors to gather information required for credit approvals.
- Support and mentor Lending Assistants, contributing to ongoing learning and development within the business unit.
- Represent the Relationship Manager when required, including presenting to the Credit Committee/Exco and maintaining effective client communication.
What We're Looking for - Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Business Studies.
- At least 8 years’ experience in a commercial lending environment or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of lending policies, risk assessment, and financial analysis.
- Advanced MS Office skills and experience using Moody’s Financial Analysis Program.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior executives and clients.
- A proactive mindset, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team.
