Our client, a dynamic leader in the FMCG sector in Papua New Guinea, is seeking a Security Manager to oversee security operations across multiple sites, including factories and corporate offices in Lae and Port Moresby. The Role

As the Security Manager, you will manage an established security team and third-party providers, ensuring the safety and protection of company assets. You will work closely with external partners such as law enforcement and security providers to drive improvements and implement security policies, procedures, and ERP solutions. Reporting to senior management, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding operations and enhancing security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee security operations across all locations, including factories and corporate offices.
  • Manage third-party security providers and ensure compliance with safety and security standards.
  • Conduct risk assessments, develop emergency response plans, and implement continuous improvements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement and external security stakeholders.
  • Lead security inspections, incident reporting, and performance reviews.
  • Provide security training and knowledge-sharing within the team, collaborating with HR and HSE departments.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing large-scale security operations, ideally with a background in law enforcement or military.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing emergency response plans.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with law enforcement and senior management.
  • Expertise in security standards, policy development, and ERP system implementation.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with security-related technologies.
