Pacific Palms Properties under Steamship Trading Company is in search of a proven, capable and results - driven individual to join the Property development Department.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Quantity Surveyor based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. A Quantity Surveyor will involve in measurement and costing of Buildings and Civil Projects and prepare contracts, subcontracts, administering projects and preparing contracts for execution.

The primary responsibilities for this position are as follows

• Prepare project estimates at various stages of a project (Feasibility, Concept Design, Development, Construction).
• Prepare financial feasibilities for protentional development.
• Prepare tender documentation including complete bill of Quantities and specifications.
• Prepare and administration of consulting, supply and construction contracts.
• Pricing and adjudication recommendations on Variations, Extensions of Times and other contractual issues.
• Build and maintain a database of historic building costs and include in a master BOQ.
• Prepare and keep up to date project programmes in Grant format.
• Prepare monthly, interim and final accounts for contracts.
• Track required statutory requirements for projects (Building Board applications etc.)

Required Experience

Significant experience (Minimum 5 years and above) in quantity surveyor or similar role.

Qualifications and Key Ccompetencies

• Diploma/Bachelor’s in Building & Construction Management or Quantity Surveying.
• Tech Savvy, including familiarity with CAD software
• Great organizational and leadership skills.
• Aptitude in Math and Problem-solving
• Attention to detail
• Caring people person who is able to view activities and relationships objectively.
• Able to work in a cross-cultural environment
