K92 Mining Limited are the owners the high-grade Kainantu Gold Mine in Eastern Highlands Province. Since commencing operations in 2016, we have delivered six consecutive years of production growth. About the role
As we enter an exciting period of expansion at K92, we are seeking to add a Project Manager to perform the role of owners’ representative and have overall responsibility for coordinating and supervising civil construction activities across non-process infrastructure including earthworks, tailings facility and workshops & warehouses associated with the delivery of the Kainantu stage 3 expansion project.
Key / Major Accountabilities
Manage project schedules, and resource plans with approved budgets and in the context of the overall project schedule.
Manage construction risks and ensure contingency plans are in place to minimize negative impact.
Management of both contractor and independent consultant contracts
Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project deliverables and objectives.
Collaborate with the B2B, Project Manager, contractors, and owners’ team to ensure project success.
Develop and maintain construction quality documentation.
Facilitate meetings and ensure effective communication with all project stakeholders.
Manage change and ensure that changes are properly documented and approved.
Ensure that multi-disciplinary project deliverables align with the project scope, quality, and specifications.
Ensure construction is conducted in compliance with Papua New Guinea laws, regulations, project specific and company standards.
Ensure compliance with all legislative, company and personal HSE systems.
Coach & mentor leaders and employees through visible HSE leadership.
Ensure material construction risks are identified, assessed and mitigating actions developed, and controls implemented.
Actively promote a safety first, zero harm culture
Develop a cohesive team committed to delivering the project objectives.
Support change and drive innovation and be able to discern and select appropriate courses of action including intervention as appropriate to resolve differing views and opinions.
Articulate direction to employees within the Projects team.
Actively promote an environment where all employees are engaged and valued and focussed on the continuous improvement of the business.
Mentor and manage the work performance of direct reports to develop capability of the individual and team.
Keep line managers informed of critical tasks and progress on projects.
Promote and drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Develop the capability and provide mentoring and coaching to team members including training.

Power Station
Earthworks
Tailings Storage Facility
Construction of non-process buildings (workshop, warehouse & several other small buildings)
Miscellaneous civil infrastructure related projects
About You
Qualifications & Experience
Degree or equivalent tertiary qualifications in relevant field
Post graduate studies in Project Management or a related technical discipline is desirable
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in construction/project management roles.
Strong projects background with demonstrated ability to bring projects to completion on time, on budget and to the appropriate specification.
A sound knowledge of risk management practices and risk-based decision making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of PNG Safety and Health legislation.
Good planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training.
Experience with procurement, construction, and project management processes.
Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
