Position Vacant: Process Technologist

Function: Supply Chain

Location: Port Moresby

We have an immediate requirement for Process Technologist in Port Moresby, reporting to the OpCo Technological Manager.

Process Technologist will support Production, Utilities and Logistics processes and control of materials, to ensure that the highest quality of products is achieved, and compliance is maintained by assisting in ensuring all processes within SP Brewery are meeting operational and quality requirements.

The role is to ensure that processes are improved, and that quality is maintained for all SPB’s products at the lowest possible cost with high process stability and management. Enhancing customer and consumer satisfaction by driving continuous improvement, upskilling our staff and driving a quality mindset in operations.

Main Duties will include:

• Safety compliance & Implementation
• Drive and facilitate improvement processes and set priorities to develop, implement and maintain best in class standards and basic conditions
• Quality monitoring through quality systems and troubleshooting of process deviations
• Striving for shop floor excellence
• Ensure compliance to raw material, process, and product quality standards.
• Facilitate strategic and technical problem-solving capabilities
• Coach and assist in the development of brewing and packaging staff with respect to technical expertise and quality systems.

Qualification & Experience:

• Degree in Science/Applied Science (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Food Tech, Industrial Management)
• Knowledge of brewing technology, equipment/machine or beer technology, industrial management, food safety, packaging technology, packaging materials technology
• Knowledge of TPM, Food Safety and QMS
• 3–5-year relevant experiences in process technology in related industry
• Quality orientated and high attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Enthusiastic, can-do attitude and self-motivated
• Problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
