Credit Corporation Properties (PNG) Limited seeks an experienced person to fill the role of Plumber.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems in both commercial and residential settings. This role demands a strong understanding of plumbing systems, diagnostic skills, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on plumbing systems, fixtures, and fittings.
• Install, maintain, and repair water supply lines, including copper, PVC, PEX, and galvanized steel piping systems.
• Diagnose and fix issues with drainage systems, including unclogging pipes, repairing sewer lines, and addressing blockages.
• Install and service plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, bathtubs, and showers.
• Repair or replace defective components in water heaters, including gas, electric, and tankless systems.
• Test and repair backflow prevention devices to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Respond promptly to plumbing emergencies such as burst pipes, water leaks, and sewage backups.
• Conduct diagnostics using tools such as pressure gauges, pipe cutters, threaders, and augers.
• Perform hydrostatic testing and leak detection to identify weaknesses in plumbing systems.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations in all plumbing work.
• Collaborate with contractors and other tradespeople during renovation or construction projects.

Other duties

• Undertake other relevant and appropriate duties as required by the OIC Repair & Maintenance or Facility Manager as directed.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a plumbing role.
• Proficient in the use of plumbing tools and equipment, including pipe benders, soldering torches, and video inspection equipment.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical documentation, and schematics.
• Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work in varying environments.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.

Formal Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing or a related field.
• Trade certification in Plumbing.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
