What you’ll do:

This position will provide operational support to the Production Supervisor across the Agogo, Moran, and SEM oil fields and production facilities, whilst contributing to the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation of wells, production facilities, and utility systems, including power generation.

This is a 4:4 FIFO role based at Agogo, flying out of Port Moresby.

Key accountabilities include:

• Ensure safe, reliable operation of production facilities and oil fields (start up, shutdown, disruptions, and emergencies).
• Improve plant reliability through sound operating practices, monitoring performance, and generating Maintenance Work requests (SAP System).
• Maintain crude and gas specifications through stable plant operation, sampling, and testing.
• Participate in shift activities, including safety programs (Strive, HAZID), JHA and PTW validations, and incident reporting/investigations.
• Collaborate with Process, Maintenance, Project, and other teams to ensure safe and compliant operations following Santos Procedures and Safety Management System.
• Manage process resource inventories and usage to minimise costs.
• Maintain effective communication within Process Facilities and with other departments (Maintenance, PE, Projects, Drilling, Contractors).
• Contribute to well development, well intervention, and maintaining uptime of wells and facilities.
• Perform core duties and provide on-the-job training for apprentices; supervise roustabouts.

What you’ll bring:

The ideal candidate will have attained a NATTB Trade Certificate, awareness of Facilities safety procedures manual and area safety equipment systems, and competent in operation of Facility area. Your ability to work well in a team, and achieve outcomes is essential, along with:

• Completion of the Process Technician Induction and Orientation programme.
• Completion of modules associated with area facility.
• Know the PTW systems and processes
• PNG driver’s license

Ideally, you will be degree qualified or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
