Position Vacant: Planning Team Lead (JG10)

We have an immediate requirement for a Planning Team Lead, based in Lae, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The Planning Team Lead is responsible ensuring proper planning and preparation for planned maintenance work and ensuring realistic scheduling. Also ensuring that optimized spare parts availability.

Main Duties will include:

• Create and maintain a safe working environment of employees, contractors and visitors.
• Set up an activity based on maintenance plan and budget
• Translate operations needs into an optimized resource planning (people, material, process and equipment)
• Produce and report data accurately and timely, analyze and interpret those data correctly to key stakeholders to facilitate optimal decision making
• Manage projects by developing accurate plans, defining clear scope and allocate sufficient resources to achieve specific goals within budget
• Use performance indicator and deployments to reduce input (e.g. cost, resources) and increase output (equipment performance).
• Translate the operational plan into overall maintenance strategy, objectives, priorities and targets and create commitment to implement.
• Ability to define, negotiate and manage service level agreement with the service providers
• Effectively control and improve on execution of maintenance work by checking actual work vs the planned work.
• Aligns planning with Packaging & Brewing to establishes/sets up/organizes weekly/monthly/annual maintenance plans

• Supports the application of 5S and VM to enable sustainability of machine performance.
• Ensures 5S implementation for the work preparation room and site wide lubrication management.

• Procures materials required for AM.

Qualification & Experience:

• Preferably bachelor’s in mechanical engineering.
• 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance and/or operations executions
• 2+ years in supervisory role with good people experience
• Preferably a maintenance planner/scheduler and/or a spare part coordinator.
• Ample experience in 5S and good workmanship
• General knowledge of workflow management, supply and inventory management processes.
