About the role

The Contract Administrator will facilitate the preparation, and execution tenders (RFx), and management of contracts for the Projects team. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders to ensure that all contractual agreements align with company policies and business goals. The administrator will also monitor contract performance, ensure compliance, and address any issues related to the terms and conditions of contracts.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Draft, review, and modify contractual agreements (e.g., purchase agreements, service contracts, leases).

• Negotiate terms and conditions with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure favourable outcomes for the company.

• Oversee the lifecycle of contracts from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to terms.
• Identify and address potential risks in contract terms that could result in financial or legal liabilities.
• Periodically audit contracts to ensure all parties are meeting their obligations.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must have a Diploma or Tertiary qualifications in contracts, business administration, law, or related discipline. Additional certification contract management is desirable (World CC qualifications, Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM). In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• 5+ years relevant work experience in similar roles in mining operations.
• Proven experience as a contract administrator, contract manager, or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with legal requirements and terms in contracts across industries (e.g., construction, mining, or service contracts).
• Strong understanding of contract law and principles.
