We are currently looking for a proactive Occupational Health & Safety Officer to lead safety initiatives, implement best practices, and ensure a secure environment for all our employees.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY OFFICER

ABOUT THE ROLE

At Moni Plus, safety is a top priority. As our Occupational Health & Safety Officer, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our team and enhancing our safety culture. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact and drive positive change in the workplace.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Safety Programs & Compliance

  • Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures that align with Banking and Finance industry standards and legal regulations.

Risk Assessment & Prevention

  • Conduct regular site inspections on-site and around our Branches within PNG, identify potential hazards, and implement proactive solutions.

Training & Awareness

  • Lead safety training sessions to equip employees with the knowledge to perform their jobs safely and responsibly.

Incident Management

  • Respond promptly to incidents, conduct thorough investigations, and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.

Health & Wellness Initiatives

  • Promote health and wellness programs to support the well-being of all employees.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING WITH YOUR BACKGROUND

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Health & Safety or Environmental Science, or a related field
  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years in a health and safety role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has keen observation skills and a meticulous approach to identifying potential risks.
  • Ability to assess situations quickly and provide practical, effective solutions.
  • Capable of clearly conveying safety procedures and motivating others to follow them.
