Network Administrator/Engineer

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Network Administrator/Engineer to join our IT team at Hargy Oil Palms Limited (HOPL).

About the Role:

We are seeking a Network Administrator/Engineer with expertise in Cisco, Cambium, and Fortinet technologies to design, implement, and maintain a secure and high-performance network infrastructure across SIPEF PNG operational sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Monitor network performance and resolve technical issues.
• Implement security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments.
• Manage VoIP call quality and network traffic optimization.
• Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure failover systems are in place.
• Provide training, documentation, and best practices for network security.
• Collaborate with vendors and IT teams for network upgrades and support.
• Participate in change management and infrastructure improvement projects.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in network engineering, IT, or related field.
• Certifications in Cisco, Cambium, or Fortinet preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on network administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco routers/switches, Cambium radios, Palo Alto & Fortinet firewalls.
• Experience with satellite internet equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work at heights and outdoors as needed.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and multitasking skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
