NKW Group is currently looking for experienced Mechanics to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. In this role, the successful candidates will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with business and industry standards, run diagnostics on Trucks and Vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goal. These are the challenging opportunity for a knowledgeable, hardworking Mechanics to apply their skills to meet deadlines and business target.

Key roles and responsibilities

Full-time role in Lae reporting to the workshop supervisor and working in a team environment, your duties include but not limited to:

• Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance on service trucks, including inspection, tyre rotation and oil changes
• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop
• Collaborate with repair team to diagnose problems with vehicles and plan repairs
• Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks and vehicles
• Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles

Qualification and experience

• College diploma or equivalent in Heavy Equipment Fitting or Motor Mechanic
• Completion of Mechanical apprenticeship preferred
• More then 5 years experience working as an HEF or Mechanic.
• Electrical installations are per PPL standards
• Must have an Electrical license
• Strong leadership talent, interpersonal and organisational skills
• Deep knowledge in mechanical system, maintenance, and repair of trucks, machineries and vehicles
• Working knowledge of Hino, Kenworth, Astra, Western Stars Trucks is an advantage
• Ability to foster team oriented goals
• Valid driver's license.
• Fluent in both Pidgin & English both verbal and written
