About the Role
This position is responsible for performing warehouse tasks that ensures accurate and on-time supply of inventory including the receipt, storage, preservation and issuance of materials.
Santos has multiple opportunities for Material Controllers across its PNG Operations. These positions are based at Iagifu Ridge, Gobe, Hides, and Moro on a 4:4 rotation and POM on a Mon-Fri roster.
Key accountabilities include:
- Accurately receive goods and ensure the integrity of inventory, including the movement and storage of items within, into, and out of the warehouse, including performing all ERP transactions related to these tasks.
- Ensure the accuracy, quality and preservation of materials and equipment held as inventory in Santos warehouses.
- Accurately pick, pack and issue materials to end users in line with demand requirements, including ensuring accurate ERP transactions are completed
- Undertake cycle counts and issue inventory accurately in Santos warehouses.
- Identify opportunities to improve packaging, marking, labelling, transporting, handling, quality checks, defect checks and quantity inaccuracies within the Santos Supply Chain Issues and Failures (SCIF) process.
- Maintain a working knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and Santos Procedures. Identify compliance risks and resolve, mitigate or escalate issues appropriately.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders timely and effectively.
- Complete all assigned warehousing tasks in accordance with Santos Risk Management, Work Health and Safety and Chain of Responsibility (COR).
- Complete all loading, unloading and material handling tasks in accordance with National Load Transport Guidelines and Dangerous Goods regulations.
About You
The ideal candidate will be a strong team player, have a positive attitude and excellent communication skills, along with:
- Extensive experience in performing a range of warehousing and distribution tasks with a strong focus on safety and efficiency.
- Experience working within ERPs and Warehouse Management Systems (SAP preferred)
- Ability to complete tasks requiring heavy or complex lifting
- Demonstrated ability to operate logistics functions in a remote and challenging environment requiring accurate and time-sensitive work outcomes
- It is a requirement of this role to possess a Forklift Licence
- Ideally accredited in relevant dangerous goods handling
- Strong cultural awareness mindset specific to PNG
