Consort Express Lines under Steamships Trading Company is in search of a proven, capable and results-driven individual with experience to oversee high value shippers of refrigerated containers. The successful candidate will report to the Key Accounts Manager.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. As a Key Account Officer, you will act as a central point of contact with Consort Express Lines Key Customers. Your role will ensure to oversee the high value shippers of refrigerated containers and including:

• Attend and lead weekly meetings with KAM customers. Keep rolling agenda, take minutes and report back to Line Manager and Commercial Manager.
• Attend monthly and quarterly business review meetings with Line Manager and Commercial Manager.
• Provide vessel schedule updates to allocated Key Account Customers Import and export transshipments.
• Assist allocated Key Account customers with the lodgment of bookings.
• Coordinate the update of shipments document when a vessel has changed.
• Monitor wharf gate in (WGI) delivery updates at the wharf for allocated Key Account Customers containers and escalated to stakeholders (EWT, CEL, depot, PI and Paradise Foods & Reefer Customers) when deliveries are outstanding to meet cutoffs.
• Confirm with CEL Operations that allocated Key Account customer cargo is accept to load.
• Coordinate the timely issuance of load confirmation reports (LCR’s) and arrival notices (AN).
• Monitor Transshipments and short shipments at all ports as required and ensure Key Account Customers are notified of any shipment disruption and action plan to address.

Required Experience

Significant experience (Minimum of three (3) in sales and marketing experience in a logistic industry.

• Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Experience in large account negotiation and management
• Experience in cargo documentation management platform such as Cargo Wise Softship.

Qualifications and Key Ccompetencies

• Diploma/ Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sales & Marketing, Shipping or relevant to Maritime Industry.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
• Customer relationships management styles
• Computer literate.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
