Inventory Controller

  • We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Inventory Controller to join our team! The successful applicant will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods. Ensuring accurate data is captured, all activities are carried out safely and efficiently, and company policies and procedures are followed.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments.
  • Verify inventory quantities and report discrepancies.
  • Organize and store materials in designated locations.
  • Ensure inventory is secure and stored correctly.
  • Prepare and label items for shipping or storage.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile with records.
  • Monitor and report low-stock or overstock situations.
  • Assist in inventory audits and data analysis.
  • Provide information, reports, statistics, and other details to management.
  • Update MYOB inventory management software to reflect physical stock.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
  • Follow safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure accurate shipment updates.
  • Effectively manage in-transit shipments and stock transfers to the POM Branch.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Year 12 certificate or higher.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ previous experience within civil construction companies.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ work experience leading a warehouse team.
  • Experience in MYOB and basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word).
  • Ability to delegate and hold people accountable.
  • Ability to supervise and train other warehouse staff when necessary.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
