Inventory and Accounts Assistant

Job Summary:

We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Inventory and Accounts Assistant to join our team. This role will assist in managing inventory records, processing accounts, and ensuring accurate financial data. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting principles, inventory management, and proficiency in Excel. You will play a crucial role in supporting inventory control processes and assisting with accounting tasks, helping to ensure smooth business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock tracking, receipts, and deliveries.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual inventory reports.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and payment transactions in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile inventory data with accounting records to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure timely reordering of products and minimize shortages or overstocking.
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks, ensuring timely payment processing.
  • Prepare and maintain spreadsheets in Excel for inventory tracking and financial reporting.
  • Support the accounting team in preparing financial statements, reports, and audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve inventory discrepancies or accounting issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous experience in inventory management and basic accounting is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based position with regular working hours.
  • Full-time position.
