Monier Limited, the single largest producer, supplier and distributer of construction materials and building products in PNG is seeking to recruit suitably qualified and highly motivated individual for the following position:
Human Resource Team Lead
The HR Team Lead will support and work closely with HR Manager providing hands-on and strategic input, insight, and advice on people-related issues: talent management, employee relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, and training. The HR Business Partner plays an essential role in assisting HR Manager in establishing and driving HR programs/talent initiatives forward within specific company functions, while always ensuring they align with a company's business objectives.
Duties include;
• Ensure effective smooth flow and running of Human Resources Function and management of team
resources in a professional and appropriate manner ensuring compliance.
• In liaison with HR Manager develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the
strategic growth of the company.
• Assist HR Manager to educate, coach, and partner with managers on performance management and
employee development goals.
• Participate in the continual development of HR programs, such as recruiting, retention, compensation,
benefits, and Learning & Development.
• Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel
engaged and inspired to deliver top business results.
• Participate in the development of people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing
organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
• Participate in Leading core HR processes across the business (performance calibration, compensation
cycle, promotions).
• Participate in Analysing and interpreting various types of employee reports (e.g., compensation, job levels,
attrition, leave liability) to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions.
• Partner with Learning & Development to work on value-added programs in areas of training, development,
career mobility, and job performance.
• Recruitment of skilled workforce based on merit and in accordance with Recruitment Policy.
• Establishment of structured Performance Appraisal and compensation systems.
• Zero employee disputes and unrest due to Labour & Employment issues.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
• Diploma or Degree in Psychology or Human Resources Management and/or Related.
• Strong understanding of strong Human Resources Best Practices
• 5 – 7 years’ experience in all areas of Human Resources including Labour & Employee Relations,
Remuneration & Benefits.
• Possess excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Ability to lead a diverse team.
• Ability to work well at all levels.
• Conceptual, Innovative thinker and open to new ideas
