We are seeking to recruit a Senior Reliability Engineer for our FPM – Reliability Department. Reporting to the Reliability Superintendent. The successful applicant will mainly be responsible for providing reliability-engineering solutions to improve asset uptime and reduce maintenance cost.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
- Uphold Harmony values in every activity performed with visual leadership in safety
- Lead, coach and mentor reliability team for world class reliability practices
- Manage and supervise reliability team for commitments, accountabilities and higher achievements
- Lead and manage completion of day-to-day dedicated maintenance activities
- Perform all “Operational Readiness” activities assigned, range from maintenance tactics (PMs) development through spares setting-up to maintenance budget and/or life cycle cost analysis
- Develop maintenance tactics (PMs) for assigned assets using world best practices based on engineering analyses/assessments, FMEA and RCM methodologies
- Promote and lead all rotor balancing, alignment and precision installation practices aiming for higher reliability of equipment and precision maintenance
- Lead reliability team for best practice hydrocarbon and lubrication activities from lubricant selection to environmental friendly disposal
- Lead all predictive maintenance and condition monitoring activities such as alarm monitoring, lubrication and vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound testing, electrical health checks, etc.
- Lead all asset integrity activities for pressure vessels, tanks, cranes, fire protection and other regulatory / statutory assets and systems
- Lead data analysis and reports for periodical and ad-hoc downtimes, availability and utilisation
- Conduct and lead application reviews, root cause analyses (RCA), defect elimination projects, and loss analyses
- Predict equipment failures based on historical data analysis
- Facilitate and lead risk assessments to minimise safety, environmental and operational risks to the business and also implement and monitor risk control measures for ongoing basis
- Utilise and embed reliability systems and processes in alignment with the Harmony Reliability Assurance Framework
- Explore and develop asset hierarchies for individual assets and systems with BOM
- Perform assets and spares criticality assessments
- Undertake continuous improvement and reliability projects aim to enhance operational safety, process quality and asset reliability
- Engage and lead relevant shutdown activities from identification through completion to reporting, with resource loading and planning
- Conduct and lead spares management matrices (listing, BOMs, critical, ANSIs, etc.) and establish spares in the CMMS
- Lead to better manage rotable assets and spares in cost effective and timely manner
Qualifications, Skills and Experience required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Electrical or similar Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience in a similar role
- Extensive skills and experience in all facets of Reliability Engineering
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously under pressure, while coordinating subordinates’ inputs and outcomes
- Can-do attitude and proactive approach to all works and long-term thinking has displayed in past experience
- Self-motivated, well organised, high level planning skills and takes accountabilities seriously
- High level of behavioural performance, positive work ethics, team works and professional relationships are maintained across all organisational levels
- Ability to challenge status-quo, open minded, high level of curiosity and seek continuous improvement at all times
The above role is Hidden Valley mine site based
