About the role

Responsible for operating different types of Heavy Equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to carry out earth moving task as directed by the shift supervisor for general mining operations.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• Safely operate different types of Heavy Equipment as part of underground mining work plan pre task jobs.
• Perform daily safety prestart maintenance checks.
• Responsible for loading and transporting ore or ore waste.
• Ensure the equipment is delivered for servicing when scheduled.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you must obtain a minimum qualification of Grade 10 or above with experience in operating Front-End loaders Volvo L90G and L90H or similar models and must have 2+ years’ experience in operating different types of equipment. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• Possess current Class 7 driver’s license.
• Must have operating certificate.
• Ability to work with close supervision.
• Must have Underground Mining experience preferred.
