Foreman - Anawe Plant Autoclaves (232007)

The ideal candidate must have

• Certificate IV in Metalliferous Mining (Processing), Certificate IV in Assessment and workplace training & First Aid certificate
• Several years in leadership roles overseeing multiple areas of a large gold treatment plant with significant minerals processing experience
• Experience in a gold refining and pressure oxidation
• High level understanding of all relevant legislation affecting the employment and safety of persons in the mining industry in PNG
• Experience in developing and implementing operating procedures and monitoring and improving processing systems
• Commitment to the development of local and national workforce
• Ability to provide input for area of responsibility, during preparation of annual departmental budget
• Competent in incident/accident investigation
• Be able to provide clear and supportive leadership to team
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team safely and improve team safety awareness

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance to all operating procedures and plant parameters for all processes within the Anawe circuit
• Ensure compliance to all regulations under the Mines Regulatory Act
• Attendance and approval of the weekly maintenance plans
• Monitor compliance to key performances metrics and advise on any identified efficiencies
• Assist the Processing Manager and Superintendent with implementation of change management initiatives and other business improvement projects
• Provide training and coaching to all team members
• Ensure effective communication between all stakeholders both directly and indirectly involved in the daily process operations
• Promote and drive adherence to the company’s environmental standards
• Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the sites Occupational Health & Safety Policy in addition to all health and safety rules and procedures

Mobilization Requirements:

• This position is open to PNG Citizens Only
• Rotation is FIFO, 21 days on site and 14 days off
• 12hours Day/Night shift
• Must have an up-to-date Police clearance certificate (acquired within the last 6 months)
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
