Job Title: Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant is responsible for gathering and monitoring financial data, preparing financial report, preparing accurate statements, forecasting costs and revenues, managing tax payments, and conducting internal audits, reconciliations. Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and support the company's financial decision. Must possess advanced knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel, has a solid understanding of business bookkeeping procedures and accounting regulations, excellent math skills, attention to detail, and strong time-management abilities.
• Gather and monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues and liabilities)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual statements (balance sheets and income statements)
• Forecast costs and revenues
• Manage tax payments
• Organize internal audits
• Prepare budgets (for the entire company and by department)
• Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
• Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
• Analyze financial trends
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes
• Regular budget consolidation
• Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
• Stakeholder management
• Reconciliations
• Debt management and collection
• Preparing company tax and statements
• Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
• Payroll processing
• Review month end accruals & prepayments for Group
• Ensure timely production & accuracy of G/Ledger reconciliations, depicting actions steps required to bring accounts in line & ownership of the financial accounting function.
• Responsible for all Accounts transaction ensure timely & accurate production of monthly management reports.
• To scrutinize/authorize all payments. (eg: Cheques) on their accuracy & validity.
• Ensure timely response to all reporting enquires from management
• Planning and co-coordinating with external auditors, preparation of drafts financial statements as per the external auditor’s requirements and completion of all relevant notes for the year end statutory audit purposes
• Liaising with external auditors and ensure timely completion of Audit.
• Preparation of Income Tax Returns and tax compliance, coordination with Tax advisors.
• Liaison with senior management personal in relation to specific queries regarding day-to-day accounting issues
• Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings
• Well-developed leadership and time management skills
• Support Group Finance Controller with all projects & enquires
• Mentoring and training of fiancé staff
The ideal candidate should have BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field with over 5 years of experience in senior roles and additional certification (e.g. CPA) is required.
The Candidate would have extensive experience managing finance teams, preparing and analysing reports and making improvements to fiscal tools and systems. Relevant qualifications are in the fields of:
• A Financial Accountant should have advanced knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software, in-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures and accounting regulations, excellent math skills, attention to detail, time-management abilities, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
• Strong communication skills both written and oral
