About the Role Our client seeks an experienced Finance and Administration Manager to lead its financial, administrative, and human resources functions.
This role ensures effective financial management, regulatory compliance, and seamless administrative operations. You will manage a team of four staff and report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities - Financial Management: Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, auditing and reporting with adherence to accounting / IFRS standards
- Ensure regulatory compliance and manage cash flow.
- Administrative Oversight: Develop policies, coordinate meetings, and support IT requirements.
- Human Resources: Oversee recruitment, payroll, performance appraisals, and maintain HR policies.
- Business Analysis: Conduct financial analysis on operational costs, and contribute to the Chamber’s management in developing the overall business strategy, regarding financial and administrative initiatives.
Qualifications/Skills - Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)
- 8+ years of experience in financial/commercial roles
- Demonstrable track record in managing audits and delivering timely and accurate reporting
- Proficiency with Xero and MYOB will be highly desired
- Strong knowledge of IFRS principles (IFRS 15, IAS 20, IAS 19, IFRS 16, IAS 37)
- Detailed knowledge of PNG’s Financial, Taxation, & Company’s regulations.
- Experience in implementation of financial management systems
- Excellent communication, organisation, and strategic planning abilities
- Experience reporting to a Board will be highly regarded
- Ability to work autonomously with a proactive approach
