About the Role
To provide critical support to the Emergency Services, Production, and Maintenance teams by serving as a dedicated Confined Space Rescuer for all planned and unplanned Confined Space Entry (CSE) operations across production assets.

This role is based in the Field, Iagifu Ridge and ensures safe, compliant practices in alignment with Australian Standard 2865, reinforcing Santos’s commitment to safety and operational readiness in every environment.

Key accountabilities include:

• Display Santos leadership behaviours and adhere to Santos Safety Management Systems, ensuring safe operations at all times.
• Act as Confined Space Rescuer, implementing safe working practices according to Santos’s policies, systems, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain Confined Space Rescue plans for all vessels, following Santos policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with production/maintenance planners and vessel crews on scheduling, coordination, and scope of work for Confined Space Entry (CSE) tasks.
• Ensure upkeep, maintenance, and proper functioning of all confined space rescue equipment.
• Actively support emergency services by liaising with ESO’s, providing additional manning support, and supplementing the emergency response team as needed.

About You
You will be experienced in:

• Confined Space Entry/Rescue & Permit to Work Experience.
• Mining, Refinery and hazardous facility experience.
• Emergency Services experience.
• Safety standards and regulations (desired).
• Leadership skills (desired).

Qualifications:

• Minimum Grade 10 Qualifications.
• Attained Competency Based CSE and Rescue qualifications.
• Class 6 driver’s licence.
• Certificate III Emergency Response (desired).
• Safety qualifications (desired).
