Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fully Qualified Electrician to join our dynamic team at Pacific Services Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial buildings and power generation facilities. This role demands a strong understanding of electrical principles, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings, including wiring, lighting, and power distribution.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on power generators, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
• Interpret and work from electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, including PNG Power requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers to ensure efficient project completion.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior electricians and apprentices.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Fully Qualified Electrician with a valid PNG Power Electrical License.
• Minimum of 10 years of proven work experience in the electrical field, with a strong focus on commercial buildings and power generators.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety.
• Valid Driver’s license.
