About the role

The responsibility of Coordinator – Training is to direct a team of both Underground and surface Trainers to provide comprehensive training in the operation of all types of mining heavy equipment for Mine Operators and specified maintenance personnel, and to assess competence and issue appropriate licenses.

Key / Major Accountabilities

Key accountabilities of this position include.

• To provide a uniform direction in equipment operator training and ensure that all Field trainers comply with the standard approved training program.
• Organize training selection and allocation of trainees to each Field Trainer.
• Develop and present Power Point training presentations.
• Conduct a final competency check of all operators before authorizing issue of License.

About You

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you have current heavy equipment operators license and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in underground mining as a miner / operator, with experience in operating 5 different heavy mining equipment’s. You must have prior supervisory experience, and trainer is essential, and you must have certificate VI in workplace training. In addition to this, you will have some or all the following.

• You must have good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills in English.
• Well-developed computer skills

• Good planning & organizational skills with ability to manage multiple responsibilities and the self-discipline to achieve tasks on time with minimal supervision.
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
