VACANCY NOTICE: CONSTRUCTION SUPERVISOR – SOLOMON ISLANDS

The position is full time. Based in Honiara, Solomon Islands. NOT FIFO position. About the Role:

The role will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple construction sites the respective team, ensuring that each project meets our high standards of quality workmanship and complies with relevant Building Codes and report directly to the General Manager.

Daily responsibilities will include conducting site inspections, facilitating onsite meetings with trades, providing regular reports on project progress, quality control, leading safety culture on site, costs and schedules.

About Applicant:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Relevant trade certificates in related field or proven experience in trade
• Attention to detail and be capable of multitasking
• Ability to work unsupervised to meet strict deadlines
• Proven experience of effectively manage a team including sub-contractors, in a professional manner and ensuring longevity of
• Excellent understanding of health and safety legislation and requirements, has proven experience of effectively controlling site safety

The responsibilities of the role:

• Review and understanding of plans/drawings
• Managing the sub-contractors to ensure they are fulfilling their roles and responsibilities, monitoring their performance daily in regards to safety, quality and rectify the deficiencies ensuring all relevant documentation is completed and provided
• Strong time management and organizational
• Have very good communication, oral, writing, computer and listening
• Managing cost control for the project, in order to ensure the project meets its required performance targets in relation to budget
• Maintain positive industrial relations with authorities and unions, resolving any issues in accordance with the client's
