  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Training role
  • Position is Based in Lae, Morobe Province

NCS, part of the Anitua Group in Papua New Guinea, provides catering and camp management services to mining, resource, and educational sectors, employing over 1,500 staff nationwide.

This opportunity:
To train, coach mentor and assess NCS employees in compliance and job specific units of competency from SIT Commercial Cookery training packages or similar standard.

About you - Duties:
  • You will be energetic, driven and most of all hands-on. This is not an office job; the expectation is you will be front and center working with and training the team
  • Meticulous in planning, delegation and be self-managed
  • Develop Commercial Cookery training resources, materials and assessment tools for learners
  • Prepare resources required for training sessions following a structured training system
  • Deliver training and assess learners in units of competency from the SIT training packages
  • Provide learning support to employees, particularly where learning difficulties are identified
  • Participate in training moderation and validation processes
  • Follow defined departmental systems for training data and document control.
Key requirements:
  • Designing learning programs: Creating training plans aligned with industry standards.
  • Delivering training: Facilitating classes, workshops, or online sessions.
  • Assessing competency: Evaluating learner performance against competency standards.
  • Compliance knowledge: Ensuring training meets VET and ASQA regulations.
  • Strong leadership & mentoring experience with a desire to help others
  • High knowledge of HACCP and HSSE standards
  • Pre-employment medical checks is a condition of employment
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Training role
  • Good communication skills in both English and Tok Pisin
  • Current trainers Certificate level IV qualification (ASQA or NQF)
  • Intermediate computer skills essential
