Position Vacant: Brewing Technician

Function: Supply Chain- Brewing

Location: Port Moresby

We have an immediate requirement for a Brewing Technician based in Port Moresby, reporting to the Brewing Supervisor.

Main duties include:

• Adhere to the defined and implemented HEINEKEN Safety, Food Safety, and Sustainability Standards in the Brewing department and local regulation(s).
• Contribute, apply, and follow the safety agenda in the Brewing department.
• Ensure removal of waste from the department premises.
• Ensure safety tasks are executed and sustained at the required level.
• Ensure timely supply of all raw, auxiliary, and cleaning and disinfection material at the place of use.
• Conduct basic inspection of the materials to be sure that quality is not compromised.
• Monitor the quality of the product and process.
• Recognize the tags and improvement opportunities and execute the tasks accordingly.
• Execute the 5S, tagging process, Cleaning, Inspections, Lubrication, Tightening (CILT), and apply problem-solving tools.
• Participate or lead in the improvement teams.
• Operate and execute all brewing operational processes on a machine in line with valid standards and procedures.
• Manage documentation and reporting of the area of work till his or her level of authority.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement activities and in case of deviations reporting it to the Brewing Shift Supervisor.
• Operates with all machines or processes.

Qualification and Experience:

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in the beverage industry with operation shop floor experience.
• Experience in Brewing in Biotechnology.
• Knowledge of Total Production Management.
