BREEDER REARING SUPERVISOR

Zenag Chicken has pioneered the poultry industry in Papua New Guinea for over 75 years. We provide employment to over a thousand employees, with our Head Office based in Lae and our farm a few hours’ drive out of the city, along the Bulolo District.

Due to expansion, we are hiring a Breeder Rearing Supervisor - Farm Based.

The successful candidate will work in our Breeder Farm, reporting to the Rearing Manager, you will be responsible to supervise all the highly important activities during the rearing period.

Duties and Responsibilities includes

• Ensuring uniformity of birds is above 90% per room within one day after grading.
• Performing vaccination of birds according to the company Standard Operating Procedure.
• Performing debeaking and de-toeing of birds according to the company SOP
• Overseeing the transfer of birds from rearing farm to laying farm in accordance to the company SOP.
• Providing support to the Breeder team to complete any activity and tasks.

Requirements:

• Ideally have a Diploma/Degree in Agriculture or related fields.
• Ideally have 2 years’ experience in supervisory role in an Agricultural or Poultry Industry.
• Must be able to effectively lead a team.
• Must be proficient in MS office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Have excellent communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Excellent time management skills.
