Branch Supervisor - Kokopo

We are currently looking for persons with experience and exposure to the logistics industry with in-depth knowledge of airfreight cargo and warehousing procedures coupled with the ability to provide high customer service delivery pertaining to operational activities to consistently meet service standards and performance within budget parameters.

Responsibilities will include:

• Provide high-quality services and maintain performance on all levels of operation activities in order to meet customers’ needs.
• Coordinate with other Service Center Supervisors in other Service Centres/ Branches on all matters in relation to the operations, especially in meeting the cut-off times and transportation arrangements to catch delivery cycle and flight departure.
• Ensure the manning level is adequate and the performance of all activities meets service standards.
• Prompt responses to any customer inquiries and ensuring all issues and problems are well addressed and solved.
• Support business acquisition process and provide operational support in order to achieve revenue and profitability targets
• Monitor operations to ensure service procedures and performance standards are met and have been implemented.
• Maintain the security of the facility and operating systems within the DHL Network Security Policy.
• Enforce the shipment security measures and controls.
• Report threats or opportunities related to our Quality or Environment Policies to the National Operations Manager.
• Comply with reasonable instructions from DHL to maintain ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications.

Candidates' requirements for the role include:

• Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• Minimum of five years of supervisory work experience in the aviation, logistics, or similar industry
• Highly developed customer service skills
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proficient with the use of computers and other relevant technology
• Demonstrated ability to lead self and others in a high-energy environment
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
• Current class 6 driver’s license
• Current police clearance certificate
