We currently have a vacancy for an Automative Technician to join our already strong and effective Maintenance Team in POM. This role will be reporting to the Maintenance Engineer.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Vehicle Diagnostics and Repair
   1. Conduct through Diagnostics to identify vehicle issues using specialized tools and equipment
   2. Perform necessary repairs and replacement on engines, brakes, transmissions, electrical systems, exhaust systems, suspension and other mechanical components
   3. Ensure repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specification
2. Preventive Maintenance
   1. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
   2. Advice customers on proper vehicle maintenance to improve performance and extend lifespan.

3. Customer Service

1. Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle issues and recommend appropriate repairs.

1. Provide cost estimates and timeline for repairs.
2. Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with clear communication and timely service.

4. Safety and Compliance
   1. Adhere to all safety standards and procedures when working on vehicles and operating equipment.
   2. Maintain clean and organized work environment to minimize hazards.
   3. Follow legal regulation, environmental laws, and company policies.
5. Documentation and Reporting
   1. Document all work performed and parts used for each vehicle.
   2. Keep accurate records of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance services.
   3. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of parts and equipment.
6. Team Collaboration
   1. Work with other mechanics, service advisors, and staff to ensure efficient operations
   2. Participate in training and workshops to stay current with the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.

To be considered for the role, you will need to have/ be:

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Technical or Vocational School preferred)
• Proven Experience as an automative mechanic or technician (Typically +2 years)
• ASE (Automative Service Excellence) certification is preferred but not mandatory

Skills and Abilities

• Strong understanding of automative systems, including engines, electrical, fuel, and air conditioning systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostics equipment, hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
• Ability to lift various objects and work in various physical conditions.
