Position: Auto Electrician – Heavy Vehicle

Department: Workshop

We are looking to hire a skilled auto electrician specialise in heavy vehicles to work in our busy workshop. Duties will include installing, and repairing electrical wiring, diagnosing problems with vehicle electrical systems, repairing damaged electrical parts, and maintaining electrical equipment.

To ensure success as an auto electrician, you should have extensive knowledge and a good eye for detail and be able to problem-solve complex electrical problems. Ultimately, a top-notch auto electrician can install, troubleshoot, and repair any electrical system in vehicle.

Main Responsibilities:

• Diagnostic and fault tracing of a varied range of our fleet
• Gathering information from driver about issues with their electrical system
• Repairing and replacing faulty wiring or electrical systems
• Servicing of electrical automotive parts
• Maintaining a clean working environment
• Highly safety focused on all times and take a personal responsibility for safety of others
• Ensure all documentation is completed and returned for costing in a timely manner
• Perform other task that may assign from time to time

Requirements:

• Diploma or relevant Certificate/Trade qualifications
• Police clearance & medical certificate
• 3-5 years proven work experience as an auto electrician – commercial heavy vehicles
• References from reputable employers
• Complex problem-solving skills
• Ability to operate electrical diagnostic equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Honest, reliable, and great work ethic
• Able to work under pressure, overtime and withstand harsh environment
• Able to participate in workplace safety
• Speak, read and write in English
• Experience in the freight industry is a plus
