Position: Accounting On-the-Job Trainee (OJT)

Job Summary: The Accounting OJT will gain practical experience in various accounting tasks and support the accounting team in daily operations. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience and enhance the trainee’s understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable:Help prepare and process vouches for payment, includes review payable accounts to ensure that information is properly recorded and records contain appropriate authorization for payment.
• Filing and Organization: Maintaining records within the department both electronic and physical. (i.e., scanning, voucher filing and review)
• Lodgement: Assist in document lodgements (i.e. IRC, BANK, etc)
• Reconciliation:Assist in reconciling accounts.
• Support Month-End Close: Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Administrative Tasks: Handle correspondence, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
• Software Utilization: Learn and use excel and accounting software to perform various tasks.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
