Summer Institute of Linguistics PNG (SIL) - Employer Profile

Summer Institute of Linguistics PNG, a faith-based international non-government organization with a workforce of PNGeans and expatriate volunteers, provides training for churches and language groups who desire to translate God’s Word. SIL works in the area of language development: including literacy, the study of languages, and the translation of the Bible into PNG “tok ples” languages. SIL does not “sell” languages, nor does it make a profit. SIL is a Christian non-profit organization. SIL’s desire is for everyone in every language to be able to read and hear God’s Word in the language that speaks clearly to them.
