The Workshop Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the workshop environment. This role involves performing various cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and hygienic working space for employees and visitors.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to maintain a clean workshop area.
Empty trash bins and dispose of waste materials in a proper and environmentally friendly manner.
Clean and sanitize restroom facilities regularly to ensure hygiene standards are met.
Wipe down and clean surfaces, equipment, and machinery to remove dirt, grease, and debris.
Assist in maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when supplies need replenishment.
Report any maintenance or repair needs observed during cleaning duties.
Follow safety protocols and use protective equipment when handling cleaning chemicals and materials.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all.
Cooperate with other workshop staff and supervisors to coordinate cleaning schedules and tasks.
Perform other duties related to workshop cleanliness as assigned.
Job Requirements
Must be a Grade 10 or 12 high school graduate
Must possess sober habits
Prior experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is a plus.
Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and materials.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
Good physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting and bending.
Reliability and punctuality in attendance.
Effective communication skills to report maintenance issues and coordinate with colleagues.
