We’re looking for an experienced and strategic leader to take on the role of Senior Manager, IT Applications — responsible for overseeing the development, management, and optimisation of their software applications to support the growth of their corporate banking operations.

In this key position working across departments to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing applications that align with business needs and industry standards.

Your Mission:

• Develop and implement the organisation’s application strategy, aligned with IT and business goals
• Oversee the entire application portfolio, ensuring performance, security, and scalability
• Lead a team of developers, analysts, and project managers to deliver on-time, high-quality solutions
• Manage end-to-end application development projects, from requirements through to delivery
• Act as the key liaison between IT and business units, aligning application capability with business priorities
• Build strong partnerships with vendors and ensure effective delivery of services
• Maintain compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS and ISO 27001
• Drive innovation by staying across emerging technologies and implementing improvements
• Manage budgets effectively and lead risk management and disaster recovery planning

What You Bring to the Table:

• A degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field (Master’s is a plus)
• Proven experience in application development and strategy, ideally within banking or financial services
• Strong leadership and mentoring experience within technical teams
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycles and project delivery frameworks
• Familiarity with compliance and security standards relevant to financial systems
• Excellent communication, vendor, and stakeholder management skills
• A strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and planning abilities
