Manager Financial Controller – Finance Leadership Opportunity

A reputable financial institution is seeking a Manager – Financial Controller to oversee Group-level financial control functions. This role supports the Group Head - Financial Controller and is responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting systems, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and leading the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage statutory and regulatory reporting across the Group
• Maintain and govern the general ledger and financial control systems
• Support capital and asset/liability management through the ALCO process
• Ensure timely reconciliations and resolution of variances
• Implement accounting policies and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provide input into financial planning and budgeting processes
• Lead a small team and contribute to the professional development of staff
• Oversee ERP (TechnologyOne) rollouts, enhancements, and support modules across the business
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, MIS reports, and instruction manuals
• Monitor departmental procedures and suggest improvements where required

About You:

• Degree in Accounting with ACA or equivalent professional qualification
• 10–15 years’ experience in financial control or finance roles in banking or financial services
• Knowledge of international accounting standards and local regulatory requirements
• Strong experience with financial systems, reporting processes, and reconciliations
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably TechnologyOne
• Proven team leadership and performance management experience
• PNG National
