JOB SUMMARY:

A maintenance assistant helps skilled maintenance technicians by performing basic tasks like cleaning work areas, providing tools and materials, helping with repairs and generally supporting the maintenance team with manual labor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General cleaning after a maintenance repair is done.
• Fetching tools and supplies for skilled technicians, organizing work areas.
• Performing basic repairs with the supervision of skilled technician.
• Assisting with repair by holding materials, handing tools, supporting technicians during repairs.
• Assist in moving, lifting andtransporting equipment and materials within the facility.
• Reporting issues byidentifying maintenance concerns to supervisors.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures.
• Good communication skills to report issues and ask for clarification.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor
• Should have minimal technical expertise but has strong physical ability to perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Knowledgeable with the maintenance tools
• Understands basic maintenance repair necessary.
