The Executive Driver is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and confidential transportation for Executive Directors and Senior Management. The role requires strict adherence to safety regulations, professionalism, and maintaining a high level of discretion. The Security Driver will also support administrative and logistical functions as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
Executive Transportation:
Drive Executive Directors and Senior Management to and from meetings, events, and official engagements.
Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off as per schedule.
Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:
Ensure assigned vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and in optimal working condition.
Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company vehicle policies.
Ensure that all vehicle licenses and stickers are current before driving the vehicle out.
Security & Confidentiality:
Exercise discretion when handling sensitive information and conversations.
Follow designated security protocols for executive movements.
Maintain awareness of surroundings to ensure the safety of executives.
Logistics & Support:
Assist with document delivery, package handling, and other logistical support as required.
Provide backup support for administrative tasks when not driving.
Assist in planning and coordinating routes for efficiency.
Standby & Availability:
Be available for odd-hour assignments, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Remain on standby for emergency transport needs.
Vehicle Usage Records:
Record vehicle usage/mileage as per department SOP.
Job Requirements
Must possess Class 6 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as an executive or personal driver.
Familiarity with key locations, roads, and routes.
Excellent knowledge of traffic regulations and defensive driving techniques.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle executive matters with discretion.
Physically fit and able to handle long hours of driving.
Background check clearance with no criminal or debt records.
Experience in security or VIP driving is an added advantage.
Maintain personal hygiene and a presentable appearance at all times.
