Sponsorship Manager

We are currently hiring for a Sponsorship Manager to be based in Port Moresby and to be part of a modern and dynamic organisation.

The primary objective or the role would be to:

  • Manage and activate all sponsorships in the PNG hub.
  • Support in activating regional sponsorships.

You will supervise 2 marketing executive.


  • Lead management and execution of Group wide Sponsorship Strategy in PNG Hub
  • Manage and activate all local sponsorships in PNG Hub utilising contracted rights and ensuring optimum delivery and return against strategic priorities
  • Support delivery activation of regional sponsorships utilising contracted rights and ensuring optimum delivery and return against strategic priorities
  • Effectively measure, evaluate and report back results of activations
  • Build a strong working relationship with all PNG Hub sponsorship rights holders guaranteeing delivery of all contracted rights and activations
  • Once approved, manage activation and operation budgets for each sponsorship
  • Work closely with and support Marketing Executives in PNG Hub


  • Undergraduate degree
  • 5 – 7 years sponsorship experience

  • Sponsorship activation across all channels
  • Relationship management
  • Project management
  • Contract understanding
  • Budget management
  • Measurement and evaluation understanding
  • Communication and presentation skills

Key relationships:

  • All sponsorship rights holders
  • Sponsorship team
  • PNG Hub Marketing Executives
  • 3rd party suppliers in delivery of sponsorship activations
  • Other business units
  • The marketing agencies

Travel will be required around PNG and potentially in other South Pacific markets. You will also be required to work at sponsorship events which often take place in evenings and over weekends.


  • Execute activations within budget 100% of the time
  • Positive or Constructive qualitative feedback only from key personnel and rights holders
  • Activations accomplish specific Objectives and KPIs set for them
  • Sponsorship activation plans agreed and approved at least 4 weeks out from activation starting
  • Usage of all sponsorship rights and benefits as per the contract
  • Development of lead activation campaigns
  • Measurement and evaluation report of activations 2 weeks post event
  • Activation planning that has sound insight, innovation and input from Brand and Digital teams.
