Junior Internal Auditor

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or its equivalent
  • At least one (1) year work experience in the retail, manufacturing and/or wholesaling industry is preferred, but fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Excellent to intermediate interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Knowledge in operational audit tools and techniques
  • Knowledge in stock take process and inventory related transactions
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Microsoft Office literate
  • Willing travel and work on a graveyard shift (during stock take)
  • Preferably user of inventory systems (Pronto, ICE, SAP, Oracle, MYOB and the like)


  • Checks and monitors company assets by conducting a regular on-the-spot count in all locations. (retail outlets, wholesale outlets, residences and offices).
  • Witnesses actual disposal in store of bad order items based on approval of Operations Head.
  • Conducts accurate, efficient and timely spot count in store.
  • Conducts physical stock taking for retail and wholesale outlets; validates discrepancies based on result of count. Included here are all types of merchandise (good & bad trade items, premium items & office supplies).
  • Submits to Sr Internal Auditor and/or Internal Audit Manager any necessary adjustments after validating the inventory count. Initiates recount for all stores with substantial disparities between checklist and actual count.
  • Checks and audits process flow in company’s marketing programs.
  • Checks the processes and standard operating procedures related to inventory transactions set by the management if implemented across all outlets. Ensures that all internal control systems are in place.
  • Submits the Audit Report to Sr Internal Auditor and/or Internal Audit Manager weekly indicating all incidents that deviate from the set procedures and policies.
  • Follows through progress of agreed corrective actions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by immediate managers.
