ICT MANAGER

  • Permanent role
  • Based in Port Moresby

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position is responsible for;

  • Effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. Making sure IT department operates on cost effective, value for money principles. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational value.
  • Developing customer centricity and culture through developing, implementing and managing customer eccentric processes and procedures with key stakeholders through use of innovative and cost effective technological platforms. In addition responsible for managing and driving daily customer care functions.
  • Provide effective systems administration ensuring minimal downtime
  • Maintain and monitor network communications link and integrated hardware ensuring minimal downtime
  • Implementing System Upgrades
  • Maintain IT Equipment register up to date, complete with details of equipment and location.
  • Critical Systems Management
  • Customer Interface
  • Comply and advocate HSE safe work practices always

The person we seek must have;

  • Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology
  • Microsoft Certified (MCSA/MCITP)/Cisco/ITIL/VMware/ISACA or any other recognized IT certification)
  • 5-7 years’ experience in similar role
  • Basic programming/coding skills
  • Understanding of VMware Environment
  • Understanding of Microsoft Server 2008/20012 Server Environment
  • Attaché experience
  • Server Management Experience
  • Knowledge of VOIP systems
  • Understanding of Network topologies and Cisco Network Devices
