  • Member of certified accounting body
  • Degree in Accounting or similar
  • Intermediate computer literacy


  • 2+Years’ experience in the role
  • Knowledgeable with MYOB Accounting system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile and control the Debtors, Creditors and bank statement
  • Managing job costing for vehicle workshop
  • Manage all files, storage and security of AP documents
  • Resolve purchase orders, contract, invoices or payment discrepancies
  • Respond to supplier queries
  • Assist in preparing monthly income statement and balance sheet
  • Assist in develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Assist in preparation of the budget and report variances
  • Support month end and year end close processes
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Develop and implement internal control and audits
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Protect organizations value by keeping information confidential
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Additional controller duties as necessary
  • Control and reconcile stock ledger with inventory tracking sheet
  • Plan orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive surplus
  • Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
  • Complete GST and SWT monthly return
  • Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability and non-taxable wages
  • Determines payroll liabilities by calculating employee’s taxes, loan, NPF etc.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/ expense reports; recording entries
  • Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
  • Verifies vendors accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Maintain historical records by microfilming and filing documents
  • Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary level account in the general ledger
  • Assist in calculating the depreciation of all fixed assets
  • Calculate asset retirement obligations for those fixed assets to which AROs are applicable
  • Conduct periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets
  • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their enquiries
  • Represent the company during any audits by the government that involve fixed assets
